Da Nang will host a virtual fireworks competition
next year as a biennial event, which will alternate with the Da Nang
International Fireworks Competition.
The South African team, newcomers to the 2015 Da Nang International
Fireworks Competition, will perform the curtain-raiser on April 28, said
the organising committee at a media briefing yesterday.
Pilots from clubs across the country will compete in a paragliding race
on Son Tra Peninsula this week as part of the city''s International
Fireworks Competition.
An International cuisine event will be held in the central city as a
lead up to this weekend''s scheduled seventh Da Nang International
Fireworks Competition, a contest between teams representing five
countries.
The central city will host the Da Nang International
Fireworks Competition 2015 from April 29 to May 3 next year, the annual
event''s organising committee said.
Participating in the DIFC for the first time, the US team sparked the
sky, lighting up the Han River for over 20 minutes to put themselves on
the victory podium last night.
The 2013 Da Nang International Fireworks Competition opens today in Central Da Nang City with participation of representatives from the US, Russia, Japan, Italy and Viet Nam.

contest from January 27 to April 14, according to deputy director of the
city''s culture, sport and tourism department, Tran Chi Cuong.

organising committee has announced.
The Parente team from Italy won the fifth Da Nang
International Fireworks Competition over the weekend with their
colourful performance entitled Rainbow of Da Nang.
